DIAKRIT staff gathered together on a Sunday afternoon for the 2018 DIAKRIT Fun Run day! Participants had the choice to join the 1.8 or 3.6 km run, cheer on from the sidelines or join the team challenge at the end of the day. As usual, Bangkok weather turned it on and it reached up to 32 degrees during the event, but that didn’t stop anyone from joining in on the day.

Kay Sirapat (New Construction) was the MC for the day and did a great job of motivating everyone, as well as Tanat Patanarungsrileart (Digital Visualisation) who led the team warm up for the day

Those who were taking part in the 3.6km run were the first group off, and from the beginning it was clear that it was going to be a tight race between Tom Sigurdsen & Thomas Nilsson (both from Call Centre). Tom crossed the finish line as the winner followed very closely by Thomas.Another highlight of the 3.6km race was our Jack Perkin (Finance & Legal) who managed to keep a very good pace considering he was juggling throughout the whole race!

When it came time for the second group who were running the 1.8km race, Manit Sonchom (New Construction) took off very strong from the start line and managed to keep his lead throughout the whole race, taking home the gold medal.


Once the 2 races were complete, food and refreshments were available for everyone to cool down before the team challenges started!The event team had come up with quite interesting team challenges that brought out a lot of laughter. The teams had to complete tasks like balancing an egg on a spoon in the mouth, jumping in a plastic bag and balancing spaghetti straws between two team members.No matter if you were participating or watching from the sidelines, everyone seemed to enjoy the games!

The Fun Run Day is about colleagues coming together to have fun, but it was also an opportunity to continue raising money for the Clean Water Project that DIAKRIT is sponsoring to help a primary school in Northern Thailand get clean water. There was a lucky draw during the day and Kay Sirapat and Suyanika Thongwa (Digital Imaging) won a trip to the inauguration of the Clean Water Project that will take place May 19th.
