One of the biggest celebrations in Scandinavia is the St. Lucia Day on December 13th. Lucia was an ancient mythical figure with an abiding role as a “bearer of light” during the dark winters.
Yesterday we celebrated Lucia in our offices around the world. Our Bangkok staff was greeted in the afternoon by a traditional Lucia choir singing songs in both Swedish & English. We could see a lot of people singing along while munching on Christmas ginger biscuits.
At our Stockholm office, we had a traditional “Luciafika” that includes saffron buns commonly known in Sweden as “Lussekatter”.
A big thank you to our DIAKRIT Lucia choir for spreading joy with lovely Christmas carols!
